ECM stands for Enterprise Content Management. But what does it mean?

“Enterprise” is another word for “business”—but it also means “organized business activities aimed specifically at growth and profit”—and that’s what we’re interested in for you.

“Content” in this instance is “all that is dealt with in a business” and involves your various forms of information and what you do with it. For instance, are your documents paper, microfilm, electronic? Can you find information when you need it? Is security an issue?

“Management” can be defined as “a judicious use of means to accomplish an end”—definitely the part of the puzzle that holds it together.

ECM then, matches up your business needs with the solution or solutions that best accomplish your goals.
